?Doner kebabs? Sorry, is this some kind of regional specialty? Different I presume from Donner kebabs.

Dear brit and srm, I hit that The Roots Of American Psychobilly last fall and would definitely recommend it - I had…

New release by John Jorgenson ( ex-Hellecasters, Desert Rose Band, countless sessions) of his own gypsy jazz type quintet - One Stolen Night . This g…

I think it's called buble gum music.
Today's selection BTW was an Aretha album I think, of love songs or somesuch. -
Well, srm, there ain't no jazz in this but it is a sickalicious track from Evan Johns and the H-Bombs Rollin' Through…

I don't know about that last one - I do believe A minor is the third saddest of all keys.
And as for Bowie, how about China Doll? That's pretty upbeat. -
Well, Pilgrim, I got this album on Jan.12, as did the guy with the only Rec with a review at the bottom of the page. Maybe it was a really advanced advance release.
-
Weird - that Reckless Kelly has already been on Amie and the page shows me I've purchased it already, whereas Sofia Talvik's Blue Moon, also on the new release page today, also previously available and purchased by myself, does not tell me I've purc…

Come on, have some compassion. It's hard wearing skin-tight jeans when you have a stick up your ass sideways.
-
It's happened for me a couple of times, I think when I'd had a kindly worded Rec regarding them.

Wow, Basil Rathbone doing Sinbad by Rimsky-Korsakov with Thomas Beecham and the London Philharmonic - one credit for 52 minutes - what a steal. How many countless days of listening pleasure will you get from this? I'm getting this one. Rea…

Is a perfect pop song one that after one hear on a car commercial has you looking to see what commercial it was so you can search the song out? That's what you call a hook, Major Tom.
-
I always knew Jack Nitzche because of The Lonely Surfer but the bio on his eMu page is quite an interesting read - I never strung all those dots together.
-
This is admittedly a stretch but if you had 50% dollars and you got a double disc set for those 50% dollars it would almost qualify as $4 music if you were to cough up $16.99 for the David Bowie in Great Music on Amie Street for less than $4 Comment by BigD-Bluez January 2010

How'd you get that? I just kept getting this subliminal flash message above the chart as I was browsing today but only for a few milliseconds.
Craig, BTW, did you try that link Thom put up on the Amie discussion? Seems to get it done. -
"Lovefool" by the Cardigans. I love this song - it's silly, frothy and damn catchy, but really nicely played and arranged. That bass line is so weird but it's just right, besides I love her voice.
-
Ooooo, you wascally wabbit, thom. Thank you kindly - that one flew. Handy in that numerous selections from Sympathy For The Recording Industry have depleted my reserves this month, several of which were on my SFL's elsewhere.
-
r.e. the 50% does not appear to be the case here, and the link comes up "not properly directed" or somesuch.
-
"Victoria" by The Kinks.

It's not easy being the king....

"View REC's I can cash out" has been working for me, I just picked out a few that had hit $0.98 last night. Finding a group over again after each cash-in is a pain.

Still can't buy this morning and since all the entries for the last 6 hours are still free I'm guessing this is a universal problem. Never have gotten a reply from them on the verification issue either.
-
More oddness - some titles this afternoon were showing up without a Label affiliation (click on), and tonight attempted purchases were met with the Try Again no can do screen. And still getting that annoying verification/warning thing.
-
And BTW which of you no-count varmints knew Paris Hilton's albums were in this drop and kept it to yourself?
-
I used to try to burn everything to CD until 2009 when the confluence of the Sony Drop/BB booster crack cards/Amie St. and Amazon freebies just overwhelmed me, and they were getting out of hand anyway. I burn backup DVDs now, but I still like havi…

That House That Ahmet Built does help relieve the pain but the loss of L.A.Nuggets really smarts - I've been eyeballing that for months since there was a momentary misprice elsewhere I missed out on.

I thought you had to drink yer corn liquor outer a Mason jar fuller cigareete butts.

Thank you froggie for pointing out the Allen Toussaint being made re-available - it was one of the six I got skunked on Tuesday but it let me re-download, and after another e-mail to CS I got the other 60 credits back. The Mingus box is definitely…

I am getting boocoo errors in the songs my slowass DLM has queued up now, and Not Availables.
-
Well, so much for more listening and less collecting, but I'm tapped. The venerable DLM 3.0 on my aged laptop will take the rest of the afternoon to finish downloading what I've gotten since I got to work, so I have to chill. That doesn't include …
