Katrina, you just brought back an old, old memory. One of my long ago professors said to me, "Miss Hopkins, must you be so pedantic?" Not wishing to appear ignorant in front of the entire class, I kept silent, but you can be sure the first thing I did when I got back to the dorm was open the dictionary.
Hah! I just looked it up. I always it thought it meant a person was rather boring, but it seems they are mostly ostentatious.
You don't strike me as being ostentatious, at all! Did you grow out of it? winky
Now, really! Would one recognize one's own ostentatiousness?
He was referring to my insistence on adhering to little details or rules, such as free versus free to current subscribers. I don't know that I have entirely left that in my past. Such insistence sometimes has rewards, wouldn't you say?

You know, I first tried DLing the freebies just to see if it would work. I kinda felt bad, like I was stealing when it DID work.
But then I rationalized, if I can browse the site and look at free tracks without signing in, they must truly be free.
Well, 'good' may not be the right word.
Hard-earned, then....
They're listed on the free tracks page by album release date, not when they became available for free. That's a real pain when something released a few years back all of the sudden becomes free.
If you have the emu downloader installed, you can simply right click on any tracks you don't want to download and click "remove from list." Otherwise, you'll just have to delete any files you don't want.
Is this the place to post these? I know there's a category for itunes freebies, but nothing for emu or other freebies.

I'm going to be pedantic here and note its meaning intended for mommio in the classroom was probably akin to "overly concerned with minute details or formalisms", a specialty of mine also.

I had no idea you could still get the free tracks if you weren't a current subscriber. Cool.
