"water is life" is my favorite tinariwen disc, but i love them all -- new one included. the lead track, the one with the nels-cline drone, is epic.

interested in that 1934 -- 1957 cuba comp. i've been seeking out cool, noir-type music from the 40s -- 50s. some of this disc fills that bill nicely.

amclark, that earth disc is fantastic. miami morning comedown is a killer drone-rock tune.
and elwood, that henry street grooves disc looks intriguing. i'm going to look for it on emu/spotify later today. -
i like NMH, but i don't think it's as earthshattering as others do. it's . . . good. i almost never listen to it.

stay safe, all. i've been through three now: hurricanes katrina and wilma (in our current coral gables house, which pretty much were in the storm's path) and hurricane andrew (in my old apartment on kendall and 142nd avenue, which was hit hardthis is the album i'm most looking forward to this year ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^just flagged that robert johnson disc for purchase on emusic, after streaming it on spotify. thanks, dr. m.(Quote)
yeah, i get that. it's why i said in my second post that i can see using spotify (the free, ad-burdened version) with emusic. essentially spotify would work as a long-play sampler and gatekeeper, to determine which albums i reall…i mean, let me add that -- if emusic doesn't adopt some type of full-album streaming system for subscribers -- i can see using spotify and emusic together, for albums that i'm unsure i want to download. also, looking at the nice spotify interface r…so i activated my spotify account. a few initial observations:
i'm scared that having spotify will somehow mess up my emusic-to-itunes connection. we'll see, i guess.
