yeah, me too. i'm kind of cool with it, tho. sometimes it's better to love an act for one good, edgy single, rather than keep hanging on, album-after-album, hoping they recapture the magic that made me love them at first. -

it surprised me. at first, i was really shocked that it was more conventional songwriting and singing. then, i began to appreciate how it bridged the gap between conventional songs and the dubstep-like (tho not dupstep) work he h… -
amclark: those two electronic discs (from girl unit and shackleton) are fantastic.

i'll dig down into this thread later, but suffice it to say that -- once i discovered it -- i fell in love with the smart-playlists feature. it's essential for keeping an ipod manageable when you have a large digital-music library.

well, this and rebecca black. -
so that must be the next soundway disc, 'cause i just got one that has a similar sound, but i'm pretty sure the title is different (not my favorite soundways disc, this new one, but they're all good). i kind of don't understand the idea behi…

doofy, that news about a new nigeria-70 volume made my day. also, it prompted me to follow strut and soundways on twitter. thanks.

i only got into the flaming lips recently. until maybe last year, i thought of them as the "she don't use jelly" novelty band. then -- when i finally gave them a chance -- i was blown-away by yoshimi. i love that album, embryonic an…

plong: i didn't notice that monk album among the items on the one "sale page" i saw at emusic. is there another master list with more titles on sale?
Update: I spotted it on the "sale page." the whole "essentials"/"dig deeper" concept … -
@amclark: i really want that destroyer album. in the meantime, this morning:

haha, i'm one of the name partners at my firm! and i still won't open that link.
well, maybe i will, after all. -
hell yeah on the song.
really, really want to open the other link, but really, really shouldn't (at the office, at least). -
sorry, tho. kylie has a few great pop songs (and one really, really great pop song), but nothing like blondie's cataglog.
-
that's kylie m.? oh, then i have to reserve judgment. kylie is also super-duper hott.
-
yeah. it's like a phantom pooch-belly.
reminds me of the line from that hott woman in pulp fiction: "if i had a potbelly, i'd show it off all the time." -
lol. i know debbie harry, sir, and that anonymous hottie is no harry.
-
holy hell, she's smokin' in that picture.
thread delivers/i like this turn the thread has taken. -
lol. debbie was hott.
-
wait, when are the new boris discs being released?
-
that's you?
COOL. i very much liked your write-up. -

fun fact: my high-school debate partner apparently invented the digital watermark.
how much is the physical product for the radiohead disc? i've seen varying accounts (in us dollars, at least). -
i've only played guitar, bass and piano (all very -- very -- poorly). drop D on the guitar is common, stretching all the way back to classical pieces; iirc, much of bach's pieces require drop D on guitar.
