A while ago I posted a link via Aquarium Drunkard that was in fact corrupt (the link, not the site), which resulted in the same warning.

Heh. As one connected to the publishing industry my advice on that would be, Don't hold your breath. Publishers have managed to contrive (or perhaps more accurate to say, bungled into) a situation where the market more or less acc… -
Having said that, guess what? I have an el cheapo 3-CD Ray bargain set someone bought for me. All the old stuff from back before he was a star, and was trying to sing like Nat King Cole...!

I think I avoid Charly, because of questions about quality and provenance. (They are UK, where these recordings are presumably public domain ; source is probably just old records, at best.)

Many of mine are gifts for others, mainly albums I already owned myself. My past order history shows pretty many other CDs ordered over the years, we will see if they show up later. Several of my "auto rip" albums are incomplete - some including o…
I think I've posted this recently, perhaps more than once. If so, it's because it's seriously good and seriously fun.

Includes some CDs I bought years ago, and many that I bought as gifts - including that copy of the "Shrek 2" soundtrack I got for my daughter when she was 9!
Re-importing will be useful for some of those old CDs, rather tha…Prof, great idea on the Herbie Nichols albums - I did that on the (excellent) Farmer/Golson Jazztet box. Makes them seem more like unique albums than "historical recordings"
Now we have BN finding Guvera recs for us! I'm getting it....…(Quote) Newer releases from major labels (eg, Blue Note or ECM) tend not to be there, and very few of the indie/small label things that Jonah finds. I've recently found some good stuff in jazz and pop looking at best-of lists from a few years ag…
Pretty cool (cool pretty?) music I was previously unaware of, via Guvera of course.Dukes of Stratosphear was a post-XTC project by...the same guys who were in XTC! Just discovered the Codona set myself, among the not-a-few Don Cherry offerings available.fwiw, no probs DL'ing for me this morning, on albums that are none of the above.
I am an all-day sucker for …
