Well, this places me on the horns of a quandary, as it were...I've been stockpiling credits towards getting one of the big jazz sets. So do I stick that plan and patiently wait for them to accrue, or do I spend while the spending's good?
Definitely objectionable where I come from, btw.(Quote)
All of 'em...A and B sides!
Just 2 here too. Es bueno que estoy tan encantada con McDonald's.Thanks Prof,
Some good discoveries there, and a few surprises. Any or all Larry Young is strongly recc'd by me! (He didn't live long, so there's not much.) Most of that Shelly Manne set has disappeared, glad I got a couple of them.
Thanks Plong, snagged that. Holland and Altschul were in that Sam Rivers Trio (*36* years later!) I was listening to earlier today. I saw Holland last month, what an amazing player.
Yesterday was playing around with album titles starti…(Quote)Good for Neneh Cherry, she is showing up on a lot of these lists.Turned out to be Clifford Jordan day around here this afternoon.

Yeah. Maybe I should set the bar a little higher, or lower as the case may be: Worst Album in the History of the World That's Not the Piano Tribute Players (or Ghost Farts)Funny because it is still showing up on the search list, but link goes nowhere. The "Peel Sessions" disc that's there looks good.
Somebody mentioned Sparks...a handful of the earlier albums are there.S.D., I bet this means those files somehow got checked "read only." You can see this by checking their Properties in Windows.I suspect the "Red" Allen disc that's recommended is from the sadly out of print "Chronological Classics" series. However, I betcha the Henry Red Alle…amclark wins the special Guvera Musical Diversity Award.
Not listening to, but shopping for, music, almost as fun. All nieces & nephews get CDs from my friendly neighborhood record label, Bloodshot, bought from friendly neighborhood…Rudie, did you (or will it let you) fill in the "country" field? I got this, and that was the piece of info it seemed to be looking for,Don't DL the last disc (approx 18 tracks or so) of the Farmer-Golson box from Guvera. They are messed up - you can hear it in the samples. I am sending a note to support.
ETA: Same deal at eMusic, and the set has disappeared from Amaz…That review has always stuck with me too. Great interpretation of these three oddly matched jazz "characters." I'd like to know how this team-up came about.
I was curious to see what else that reviewer has written - here's one on eMuse…Aha, was wondering about the original date on that. How could I have missed it?Apparently Pat Metheny recently had a pretty good rip on Kenny G., and Richard…
