I hereby commit myself to never finding out what astroturfing is@soulcoal I'm looking forward to that, and glad Orrin is still putting out his own stuff after joining the Bad Plus. I think his string of Smoke Sessions is really strong.
…I think the reports of eMusic's death may not be that exaggerated this time, given the vanishing label situation. Not that I didn't find worthwhile stuff, but my 2nd or even 3rd choices just weren't available this month

See my note from last week - If I had it do over again, I might have tried to cut through the glue using an X-Acto knife, but that's being prissy…I've got my copy! Feels different from his previous work, but still pretty "epic." On first spin, I'm hearing echoes of a broad swath of Black American Music over the past 4 decades (or more).
