Well, the main thing is that she can pull off the Viking-chick look. The rest can be handled with ordinary theatrical makeup.

Monotronaut is a post-rock outfit from Portland, non-ambient, mostly "glitch"/trip-hoppy instrumentals (with some "found" voices and vocal samples). Not my usual thing, but it's very well done and absolutely free.

Is it just me, or does that "Cheery Wave" cover look like one of amclark2's paintings? Though less colorful and more primitive, of course.

I got my account down to $0.00 - no rollover money whatsoever - but I still didn't cancel, even though I've been telling myself I would for over 3 months, especially if I ever managed to do that.

Not all of it - the Ben Folds/Nick Hornby album is $0.89 per track and $8.24 for the album. That's something I would probably buy…

Indeed, "Blackberry Way" is considered to be one of the main inspirations for the Dukes of Stratosphear's song "Collideascope." So naturally that gives it an…

Here's another one - I'm doing a search for, uh, something completely unrelated, and for some reason I decide to check this out, and it turns out to be this nearly-fantastic guitar-pop album that some guy named Eric is giving away for free. (For an …

I recently learned that you can download the 2008 Springhouse reunion album, From Now to OK, as 160kbps MP3 files from the band's very own website. It's a very …

This actually reminds me of something I saw on eMu just recently, which I suspect is somewhat common, though I don't personally see much point in people doing it. Have a look at the artist page for in ( . ) ( . ) Comment by ScissorMan June 2011

Here's one of those bands that would be really great if they had a better singer, and maybe a better approach to vocals in general. Still, not bad, and this EP is free (no e-mail address required). They're from Glasgow, and in the same general shoeg…

This isn't really my cup of tea personally, but the "complete box set" (71 tracks) of Janice Whaley's "Smiths Project" (basically an a cappella avec drum machina version of nearly every song the Smiths ever recorded, in order of release) is c…

This is just one track (off a 2-track "single") from a shoegazey/dreampoppy sort of band called Quiet Lights, free for an e-mail address:

Some of you might remember The Juliets, whose debut album was (and still is) considered by me to be one of the best things you can find on Bandcamp. Their new EP (taken from a forthcomin…

How's the tape hiss on that cassette? I only have the vinyl double-LP, and the scratches and pops were pretty cool until everybody else started (over-)using them on trip-hop records.
I have to admit, I'm tempted by the remastered stereo … -
Yeah, and what's that thing holding the lid up, a pencil? If they're going to the trouble of using dovetail joinery, brass hinges/locks, and a full coat of varnish on that thing, you'd think they could spring for a proper lid stay from

This is getting a bit off-topic, though.Well, it isn't so amazing in my case, when you consider all the times they tried to have me assassinated by the shadowy international CIA/Russian-Mob/Goldman-Sachs consortium. Luckily for me, they kept trying to do it over the web, which just result…TBH, I don't remember Cathy Nevins or anyone else saying that prices would ever actually go down after any specific or pre-arranged period of time. RamonesAh, I do remember it being rather annoying when people would hit Amie Street with dozens of one-song "releases," especially all at once - it was a slow site to begin with, and that just made it slower, if you were trying to get through all the new s…As long as you don't keep too many orange tracks, you'll probably be okay...
Assuming you're this guy and that in Binge finds Comfort in Closure Comment by ScissorMan May 2011Ehh, it looks like the listing has been removed, probably because the description contained too many obscenities. I guess eBay never has had much of a sense of humor, has it?
