No, that won't hurt your turntable or needle one little bit. The weight is actually an indication of purity - lighter vinyl contains more PVC, is slightly less likely to warp, and is somewhat more durable (though of course you can still scratch it f…

I had a whack at it...
I should say, if it were totally up to me I'd remove the entire paragraph beginning with "I was in my mid-teens in the UK when Smile was being recorded," because I see it as extraneous, and it doesn't really flow l… -
I've never liked it.

Well, to be fair, it's aimed at people who have dedicated T1 lines, 2048x1028px monitors, multiple-core CPUs, high-end graphics cards with multiple GPUs, and one particular browser/OS/Java version combination which they're almost certainly not going…

Yeah, the fat lady is definitely singin' now!

I like Peava too, actually...
The one thing I'd point out is that we wouldn't want a theme where the tags are listed as top-level menu items (or menu items at all) just under the banner. In fact, if this whole thing keeps going at a 3-4 … -
This is actually a good sign - it shows that they've learned to implement a means of quickly reverting to the old interface, etc., when their rollout of new stuff inevitably doesn't work so good.
Can systematic multi-platform testing be … -
I would think that in most cases, you would have to cut them - the "Connections" theme, for example, uses a 741 x 143px banner image, and most (if not all) of your work there is pretty much standard-frame rectangular, isn't it? Not that that'…

When I was a kid, we were all forced to listen to Dark Side of the Moon, Aqualung, Breakfast in America, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Toys in the Attic, the first Van Halen LP (entitled simply "Van Halen"), and Led Zeppelin IV (aka, "ZoSo"). Refusal u…

I dunno, the problem with using "MiG" for the favicon is that 16x16 pixels is so small, when you shrink those characters down they're going to be indistinguishable from "MI6," and there's already an intelligence agency using that name.

Dr. Mutex, when you say the free themes show adverts, do you just mean the tag line for the theme itself? That doesn't seem unreasonable to me, if it's on the bottom ofthe page.
I was thinking something like in Great Expectations: musicisgood.org is a go! Comment by ScissorMan November 2011 -
WordPress has a WYSIWYG visual editor, and also a "raw HTML" editor you can paste into, so there should be no need for BBCode... but if anyone really prefers BBCode, there are plugins that could be installed for that, like in Great Expectations: musicisgood.org is a go! Anybody want to suggest some tags, to start with?
I vote that we tag entries by genre, and if the entry is basically a draw to site like eMu, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, etc., those should be tags too... I'd advise against tagging by artist na… -

I could do that, if you want - I've got a few years of experience as a WordPress admin, and I'm quite good at finding/fixing spelling errors and such, though I'm not sure I'd have time to check in every day. (Every other day, maybe.) And of course, …

I think they were just testing their new "kill switch."

The reviewer has a point, though. The Vague, Ill-Defined and Actually Rather Tangential Ann Peebles Collection is a lot better, but of course eMusic doesn't carry it, natch.

I went through the exact same process. Maybe I missed something, but the easily-navigated hard disk audio component for thousands (or tens of thousands) of MP3s just doesn't exist - there are plenty of hard disk audio components with terrible naviga…

Well, you don't want to point out that any given domain name is available, or someone like Doofy will come along and grab it!
The more important question with these kinds of things is always platform. If it's going to be a real magazine-…
