The Dakota is an excellent venue too, Doofy. Allows you to get some great food while listening to great music.

Indeed, they will be an excellent appetizer.

That's why I keep a list. Artist, date, venue, letter grade, and brief comment about every set I've ever seen.

Nice bill, Doofy! Although, Lou Reed would have outranked Violent Femmes.
I saw Violent Femmes twice in the 90s, but can always be convinced to sing "Blister in the Sun", "Add it Up", etc. again.

Yeah, he wasn't exactly serious about the no photography thing. At one point he was sitting on one of the monitors at the front of the stage and someone in the front row was recording him. He grabbed the phone and sang to it while spinning and zoo…Okay, I've heard how good Father John Misty is live, but holy crap is he amazing. Best performance I've seen in awhile. King Tuff was phenomenal as an opener too.

They've put out a bunch of really good albums since this one, but I still think this is my favorite.

45 years ago yesterday, an old Greyhound station opened it's doors as a concert venue for the first time (Joe Cocker was the performer). Last night I partied at First Avenue to celebrate its birthday. Good times. Tonight I'll be back for Father J…
