The Roots are a national treasure.

Finished the Zhukov book last night. It was good, but written for a wider audience than I would have liked. Admittedly I know more about the history of the USSR than 95% of the population, but I wanted the book to be more in depth.

Thanks for the link thom. I want that album, but it's not a good price anywhere, so if I'm going to overpay I'll do it at the label.

I have a mix of early to mid 90s rock on random. As a teenager at the time, I'll never not love this stuff.

Until Sunday. And I cannot stress this enough: Be in front of the TV on Sunday when it airs live. Do not wait to watch it later. It's on HBO, so no commercials and no excuses.

CraigI haven't heard that album, but I do really like "Call Me, Maybe", so....
That said, I already knew you had questionable taste, amclark2. Seriously, Warrant?in What are you listening to right now? (13 Indigenous grandmothers are praying for the planet) Comment by cafreema May 2013
My photo essay from Soundset is now up (along with a whole slew more photos at the MiG Facebook):Link.
CraigYeah, I don't know if it will happen (probably won't. If anything I'll probably get to talk to some of the young guys on the bill, which would still be cool), but I'm having to prep for the possibility and I'm kind of dumbfounded as to what to say.…
This Sunday is my press pass day at Soundset. Allegedly I might be able to do some interviews with Snoop, Busta, A…Way to go grandmothers! Screw the 8th generation to come.
Haven't listened to this album in a loooong time.…18/26 found that review helpful. People are awesome.

On my second listen now. Don't get me wrong, it is a very good album regardless of whether I end up liking it, and I r…(Quote)
Exactly! Throughout the album I just kept reflecting on the fact that they said this album was supposed to lead the charge of bringing back the human element and getting recording out of bedrooms, but the production and playing ar…Earlier I listened to the new Daft Punk. I need to listen at least one or two more times before forming my opinion, but so far I'm sure it's a good album that I'm not sure I like all that much.

CraigRandom Access Memories is one of those albums that has autorip and is cheaper as a CD than mp3 ($2 in fact). We have Prime so it's free shipping. Plus it gets a $1 mp3 credit for buying it on CD. I really don't understand Amazon's business…Wait...I literally just got an Amazon gift card for taking a survey like a month and a half ago. Now we're talking, Daft Punk.
CraigHere, here, thom.
When I complained via e-mail to the wife about the Amazon 'sale' for The National, she responded by saying $7.99 didn't sound bad. THAT'S why they can get away with over charging for digital files.
CraigAre Radiohead noted Chelsea fans? If not, this joke (while still funny) doesn't really make sense to me:

CraigDon't forget some guy named Willy Moon!
The National is purchased via 7digital for $5.
Now...what to do with Daft Punk. May need to go to the Electric Fetus where they are giving out free Daft Punk masks with purchase:
…It would appear that $7.99 is truly the new $5. What a joke.
Hopefully 7digital has a reasonable price on The National and Daft Punk when they update their $5 albums later today.
CraigFinished! I need more time to cogitate on it, though.
Will now be starting:
