This is actually quite good. It's a combination autobiography and annotated lyrics. Certainly not for everyone, but a… -

As bad as that movie is, I absolutely love it.
I was watching the NASA stream of the asteroid. It wasn't as thrilling as I'd hoped watching a white dot cross a black screen which shifted whenever it got to the edge. At one point the do… -
I wish there was Oasis on Guvera. I've long needed to add Definitely Maybe to my library.

Thanks, elwood! Would you recommend the compilation Henry Street Music: The Story So Far 1993-1999? It has some Kenny Dope among the 40 tracks on it. (Number of tracks is no issue for me as I tend to sit around 200 DL at Guvera at all time…

Spell out the 'and' and most of the discography (if not all) pops up. That's a situation where I usually just type 'siouxie' and then the search results pop up and you can see the spelling issues.

No problem Doofy. I'll try and remember if there's any more I've grabbed there.
dddanmar or anyone else - Have you seen an issue with tracks downloaded from Guvera only scrobbling on last.fm in some instances? A few albums I've grabbed… -

elwood - What house on Gu would you most recommend? I enjoy it from time to time, but haven't really delved into it (I keep meaning to read Simon Reynolds' book about British rave culture).

You've got some post punk in there, so you are missing Gang of Four, Wire, The Slits, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, etc.

I've heard that from others BigD. I've also been told that if a song is stuck in your head you should sing it in Bob Dylan's voice because it's impossible to get his voice stuck in your head.

I've seen conflicting references on where the beat comes from, some say Kraftwerk others say other groups, so I left that out. Not enough space to delve into the full history.
Does it say it's from "Numbers" in that German article you s… -
I can deal with my soggy macaroni, mushed peas, and woody chicken for a little while longer. Ask me again in a couple days, though.

Yeah, OCD can be tough because it's all things that everyone does and the question is just whether some line has been crossed. As for hip hop, though, while you're usually right, I've had parts of "Rapper's Delight" going through my head ever since…

GP - Here's something you didn't know about me: I quite literally have OCD. One of my obsessions is exactly what you describe. Before I was treated for my OCD I would sing the same line(s) of a song for well over a month. Without treatment that a…

The Wipers box set I got for Christmas has been broken up into its component parts. I do it if for no other reason than I basically never listen to that many tracks by the same band in a row, so I'd almost never hear the tracks at the end of the se…

Gotcha GP. I guess then it's good I don't listen to all that much jazz. I do have a lot of hip hop tracks though where the track name is followed by "feat. John Doe", like Muggsy.
I am a bit crazy about genre's though. I believe I cur… -
I listen purely to albums, so I'm a happy camper as long as the album, artist, track number, and genre are right.
Reading this makes me very happy to be easygoing about tagging.

She got sued by some guy from Baltimore that fancies himself famous and has gone by Santogold for a long time. Rather than spend ridiculous amounts of money fighting it she just switched to Santigold.

amclark2 - You posted Method Man's debut in the NP thread yesterday, but I can't find it on Guvera. How did you search for it?

I actually prefer People's Instinctive... to Midnight Marauders. The singles on Instinctive are just so fantastic ("Bonita Applebum", "I Left My Wallet in El Segundo", "Push it Along"). It doesn't get better than The Low En…

Also not a Catholic. My thoughts are that the Pope is supposed to be appointed by God (I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong), so resigning that appointment seems like sticking your tongue out at the power you believe to be your creator. A questiona…

The first hip hop post is up over at MiG. Far longer than I intended (a little over 2000 words), but the following parts will be shorter without the intro.
