I'll let you know when it goes up. Probably sometime mid to late in the week.

Just made a couple grammatical corrections and posted the piece. Sounds like my kind of concert!

I'd love to see some more from all of you! I've spent the last few weeks just deleting the amazing amount of spam the blog has been getting.

Have you tried clearing your cache? I'm told that solves all problems.

We got suckered into the Showtime deals for Homeland season 2. Of course we aren't done with Season 1 on DVD yet, but that's what the DVR is for.

That's a tough one Greg, as there is a pretty wide spectrum to hip hop. Based on your enjoyment of jazz, though, I'd recommend trying out A Tribe Called Quest. They use a lot of jazz samples and their flow often feels a bit like a jazz solo. I'd …

That sounds like a fantastic bonanza. Were Metric and Stars on the same bill? Either way seeing them at about the same time would be great. Metric is still on my 'haven't seen and must correct that' list.

That's a fun tune and has enough of the celtic/bluegrass shared history that I do enjoy it. It's just not something that I'd put on all that often.

The tabula rasa thing absolutely explains Cookie Monster and Rafi. Plus, no one with any prior thoughts would listen to Baha Men.

Greg - I always give folk based stuff a shot. It just almost always leaves me cold (an exception is true bluegrass stuff, that works for some reason). Just a taste thing!

I don't care for them, and have no idea why they are so beloved. I just always chalked it up to the fact that I'm not a fan of most folk based music so I can't get it.

I missed you Guvera.

Death Grips planned to issue two albums this year. Epic, however, won't give them a release date on the second one until next year. So when they turned the album in to the label yesterday they also posted it for freecw00 - I don't even go to Amazon to check anymore. I am therefore not making impulse buys. Good for me. Bad for them.
