Hi Rod, I've been listening to both versions of the death and resurrection of Christ that you sent me. Thanks again for that and indeed the rather splendid Penderecki at 80 collection. Reason for the mail is that I can't seem to find any details online regarding the version conducted by the man himself. Do you have any? Just my curiosity is all. Hope all is well. Best Dave H.

(Quote) Test test test etc. for the new secure site and because it's the truth and the music makes a lot of sense with an award winning London Dry Gin on a Friday night. Thanks Rostasi!Sorry for the double post above, 2nd bit was in my draft when I thought I'd posted it and it's all too complicated right now ;-)
(Quote) Has Kevin Shields sued them over the guitar sound on the first track? Classic MBV de-tuned guitar there.
(Quote) Just been writing about this and how Shabaka Hutchings crops up in a number of differing styles. This is sort of a Brit version of Kamasi Washington, except it was recorded in Jo'Burg by an Octet 7/8 of which are South African. in What are you listening to right now? (15 Flies in the Marmalade) Comment by djh December 2016I've just been looking at The Quietus Top 100 of the year and realised I had 5 (or 4 not entirely sure about #76) anyway this morsel was holding up the rest at #100 and I like it more than the retro post-punk of their #1 album. (Quote) In the UK the Emusic d/l is the same price as the vinyl. I wouldn't mind so much but I already have the earlier set. Alex Ward was amongst the players and he had some merch with him. This will take a little while to get through:
