Hi Rod, I've been listening to both versions of the death and resurrection of Christ that you sent me. Thanks again for that and indeed the rather splendid Penderecki at 80 collection. Reason for the mail is that I can't seem to find any details online regarding the version conducted by the man himself. Do you have any? Just my curiosity is all. Hope all is well. Best Dave H.

And thanks to a heads up from Dave S.
Sorta jazz meets post-rock with Zappa influenced time signatures and silly track names. Pretty engaging.

Catching up with a few discs from the EOY lists.
Half the tracks over-bowed violin the rest dual recorders. Henry Flynt meets East Anglian folk - sort of.

(Quote) She wrote, or rather her band mate, female, wrote most of the first album across the yard from where I work. I love me some Noise, Improv etc. but that out of tune caterwauling shit was the limit. Basically wore the clothes (cheap ver…

Well not only is Emu up and working for me, which means I've spunked all my credit on various recommendations from folk here or The Wire's best of list but also My Music has loaded for the first time. Perhaps Tiny Tim WILL have a Merry Christmas aft…

(Quote) going to divide opinion this one; I'm certain it wasn't a necessary thing, but it is good!

(Quote) How do you rate these? I flaked out of seeing the band years ago due to wife being ill, never used my gig credit at Ronnie Scott's...

Hi Greg same with me after being away for a week. I got half way in - so I could see the credit but then wouldn't recognise the email / password combo. Cleared my cache tried again and also the reset option - no go so I've emailed them. Gotta remain…

Got my email here in "sunny" London a couple of days back. I don't use any of me free cloud accounts except for mailing large files at work so I don't know how this will affect me. Fated to live in interesting times aka "another First World Problem".

(Quote) Bruton doesn't necessarily get the love that other libraries do, but there's some top names on that album.

(Quote) Ah I didn't realise that I am amongst library music fans.

(Quote) Sadly I can't access the US site from here and the UK one doesn't even list the album. Not a whinge I should just dig out a few of me Kinks cds and get on with it ;-)

Thanks to the kind folk at Emu for the £10 booster and a reminder that there's a hell of a lot of Intakt Records available. Once copt a lift in the official festival people carrier at Victoriaville thanks to Sylvie Courvoisier...Wasn't sure I'd get the credit seeing as i'm just waiting for my next month to start on the 27th but lo I have £10 in the account. intrigued to know what the changes might be but if it's a pay to stream i already have that with Spotify and I hardly …(Quote) One of my first Bandcamp purchases as it happens, cheap at half the price, not necessarily essential but a nice opener to Potter's music if you only know him through the NWW connection.(Quote)
(Quote) I pre-ordered this and got the d/l just the other day. Quite something with its range of influences and also having had a farther-in-law who worked at the pits as a Bevan Boy (best to Google). Good stuff.I don't normally do lyrics buy I've really been enjoying the subtle arrangements here.(Quote)
