How odd, it just worked for me, pasting the link into the text box, as though you were just giving someone the plain link normally.

You want < b > and < /b > for bold, or just select-and-click like in a word processor
-
@Brighternow it's easier than that, don't include the embedding HTML stuff, just the link as you'd have it in your browser.

I've enabled the wysiwyg editor.
This might make colours a bit easier if you can't be bothered screwing around with codes.

Going to have a go at getting old style URLs to autoconvert to new ones. This may cause moments of strangeness should I break something.PS, anything that reminds me of this:

OK, taking things in roughly order:- Internal links: yeah, URL structure has changed, not sure that'll be fixable, but if a) the post ID numbers are the same and b) that's all I need to reference a post, then I can probably…
Is there a face in the front of that car? That's all I can see.

I may be able to fix them.Oh hey, it works on mobile too.Yay, someone posted, now I know that worksYou may see the occasional internal server error. I dunno what is doing that, it's something to do with the proxy stuff. Not really important enough to worry about given that's temporary.Oh, also, I'm expecting one of the admins who knows what they're doing to make it a bit prettierI don't have a design bone in my body.
Things seem to be going OK. I looks like some particularly old threads may have gone astray, sorry about thatYou also may see an extra 'emusers.org' in URLs. That's an annoying artifact of the proxying. It hopefully won't affect anything, and should go away in time. There are some timezone issues it seems, with old stuff appearing newer than new stuff. That should sort itself out over the next 13 hours or so. This also seems to affect the "new posts since your last visit" thingy.Holy crap, it worked.
I now have it up and running on my new server (but not switched over yet, I need to have a look around and make sure nothing important has gone astray, and then repeat the migration process after making this one rea…Oh hai. Again.
So, I'm planning on moving all my stuff to a new server. This'll take some time, but I thought I might start with this forum. At the same time, I'll upgrade it, because a relocation and upgrade are clearly the best things …Oh hai.
I don't tend to pop up here all that often, just stick my nose in once in a while.
I really need to upgrade the forum software at some point actually.

At least I take backups before I mess with stuff though!OK, belay that. It was taking far too long, so I'll do it some afternoon rather than some evening. Restored from the backup so hopefully you won't even notice. My 50 came shortly after I mentioned it on the message boards over there. Whether there's a causation there, or they're just spreading the timing out, I'm not sure.If you keep a UK credit card, you should be able to keep that subscription.@NankerP the OSX file association/opening stuff is somewhat black magic.
