By react I mean Facebook style likes, or similar.

I'm not sure. A brief search suggested people can react to posts and it counts them or something, but I couldn't immediately see that function. Maybe the mods can enable that if so desired, or hide it with CSS.

PS: if anyone out there is a designer type, the forum has the unused facility for banners and such. Or maybe you like the minimalist form

Well, that looks fresh and new! Everything seems happy at first glance. Of course, let me know if something seems broken.

OK, phase 1: the database has been moved and there's now a reasonable amount of free space on the server. Now to retry the upgrade...

OK, going to try this again soon. There will be downtime. Hopefully not long.

Ah yes, that'll definitely be related. I managed to free up a little space so maybe that'll stop happening. But really it needs me to move where the database lives, which is probably only half an hour's work, all going well. Will keep you posted.
y'all made me want to check out my saved-for-later list. It shows two albums (I feel like there was maybe 10-12 when I quit), but for both of the remaining, when I click on them it tell me that they're unavailable. Glad I deserted the sinking shop w…OK, belay that. It turns out my server's disk is 95% full. I'm surprised backups even work. I've added more disk, but it'll take more time than I want to spend tonight migrating the database over to it. So I'll do it another evening.
It's that time again, you know the drill. Some hopefully minimal downtime in the next hour or so.
(Quote) It's nice when that happensThanks.
(Quote) Sorry, I don't have access to upgrade their systems
(Quote) Done.
You know the drill, software update happening sometime soon this afternoon. May be a bit of weirdness during it.

I found a bucketload of awesome terrible wtf covers.
Check out that image though:I pay for google music as it is. They're promising that I'm not going to lose any features when it moves to this new service, but knowing Google, their promises of such things are often lacking.
Here's my take on the GDPR: https://www.emusers.net/forum/discussion/comment/89247/#Comment_89247 tl;dr, I don't think it's significantly an issu…(Quote) Normal reality should now have resumed. Any problems you're continuing to experience are hopefully your own
This migration will happen tonight. Roughly now. Things might be shaky for the next hour or two.
My marginally abridged reply to @Germanprof 's email. Comments welcome.
I'm not convinced it's necessary [to email people or to be too concerned about GDPR]. From …So, I'll have to wait until I hear back from @xtrev before I do anything. My deadline is the end of the month, so it's not so pressing.
Oh bother, I'm going to have to coordinate this with @xtrev. Depending, there may be actual downtime.
Just a heads-up, I'm probably going to moving the server to a new IP (hosting provider changes) this evening, euro time. You might notice things behaving weird when this happens. If so, just come back about an hour later and it'll probably be fine.<…@djh thanks, recommendations welcome! Had a few PU earlier today, now on Czech craft beer. Ta. I'll be in PragueThanks for the heads up. It looks like it was getting a bit too close to its limits, I've given it a bit of wiggle room for now, but I think when I'm back from holiday next week I'll have to add a bit more disk.
