Congrats counselor....
Play the kid the Beatles, Zep, and the Who in the crib, and he/she will have his/her bearing straight for life. -
It's one of those British releases, so perfectly legal in that country as the copyright lapses after 50 years. Whether it should be sold in the US is another matter.
-
Craig,
Check this one out - Includes 22 different horse whinnies!
Talk about embarrassment of riches.... -
The Crazors dropped a new track - I know Craig has been waiting with bated breath....

Is someone editing my posts and deleting things?
Edit: Looks like things are back to normal - must have been a glitch. -
So... you're one of those bullies who give people Swirlies, huh?

Good way to waste a REC!
-
Could well be, as a couple of Wings comps already showed up on eMu.

If you're logging into your old account on a regular basis, that may be why you're not getting an offer. I have a suspicion that they have a counter of some sort on lapsed accounts which resets anytime you visit the website. The reason for doing thi…

Yes, that was the Corr sisters
-
Reminds me of a dream I had recently where I was trapped on a deserted isle with Charlotte Gainsburg, Cat Power, and the Corr sisters (sans the brother). They voted me king for life!
-
You're right. I doubled the REC money twice by accident, although these days I make more than 35 cent per REC. It's my historical tendency to REC stuff that only maxed out at 15 cents a track that brought the average down. I'm guessing I currently m…

A couple of Language of Stone albums dropped and are still cheap, including Lights' first album which was originally released on Drag City.

It's a sickness! Before Amie, I was downloading about 20-25 albums per month over at eMu - now my average combine take is about 100 albums a month). I do listen to 3-5 albums a day (mostly at work), however.
The get it now or pay more la… -
Doh!
I just checked - only 2/3rds through the month and I have close to two hundred albums......time for a 12 step program...... -
And Arab terrorism on American soil started with Kasey Kasem....

yeah, like he said.
I asked Amie about the album, which I bought but didn't have a chance to download before they pulled it. They said it would be reposted on the release date. They also refunded me my money plus about $2 extra and invit… -
@Nereffid - I'm sure it has something to do with caning...everything in your part of the world either has something to do with getting pissed or caning....

Yeah, I gotta a swingin' bender for you right here for ya....come an' get it!

RE: Vita Ruins - who do these guys think they are, Pink Floyd?
Did anybody else buy any of the Metropolis albums that dropped last week? I cashed in a buttload of RECs and bought about 50-60. Given the current prices for most of them, it… -
Erotic Sound Effects still free!

I dunno, I think you just have to take it in the same spirit as something like this.

Must be Karma - Bobby Shad and the Bad Man playing a jazzed up instrumental version of Zep's Whole Lotta Love.
-
All this Zep talk made me pull out and start listening to the complete set that Rhapsody was selling for $10 a year and a half ago. What a great set! It includes:
Led Zeppelin I
Led Zeppelin II
Led Zeppelin III

Those Mainstream albums are bit on the cheesy side, but I enjoy them. Makes me feel like I'm back in 7th grade watching Starsky and Hutch and the The Streets of San Fransisco.
-
If you ask most fans of Zep, they will tell you that the first 6 albums (I-IV, Houses of the Holy, Physical Graffiti) are absolutely essential.
All but III made the Rolling Stone Top 500 list of all time, and out of those, all but Houses… -
Well, yeah...not for most of us, but for the average person, who only owns a 100 or so albums.
I think I've bought the Led Zeppelin oeuvre 5 times over the last 35 years - first on cassette, second on LP (some of them 2-3 times, since th… -
Bobby Previte - Pan Atlantic, around $2 right now.
