Thanks Matt!

Nice concept - I just never seem to "trim back". I did, however, just get rid of an old stereo receiver that hasn't worked for over a decade - does that count???

Always in favor of owning (10,000+ and counting plus lost more digital). Also love my local library system. I use it to update old and scratched LPs and try new things I wouldn't ordinarily buy. So much music ..... so little time. Cheers!

The lovely and talented Sharon Jones will surely be missed.

I was at last night's EC show in Boston also - I only stayed for the 1st third of the show so I could say I've seen 33 1/3 Elvis shows (but then I went right back in!). Another fun set. Going for 45.

Off to see Sloan tonight in Boston - One Chord to Another tour. Details to follow!
-
First time I saw him solo was around 1999 - I had goosebumps. Last time was a year or so ago (with Rodriguez opening). A few less goosebumps, but still awesome. Glad you got to see him.

First time seeing Brian live??
-
Nada Surf Monday night, Yo La Tengo tomorrow night. Not too shabby!
-
Dick Dale last night - 79 and still playing the beast. Always a treat!
-
this stuff's also available at eMu for even cheaper
-
and I will add that most of the new stuff that is added is at 320 bps - most of the older stuff is lower or variable.

In the US, it's based on dollars, not tracks. So if an album is listed at $6.49, you get the entire album for that price, whether it's 6 or 206 tracks. Best wishes

Also saw the re-united Miracle Legion and Bent Shapes on Sunday night - both worth checking out. Ears still ringing!
-
Big weekend planned: The Figgs tonight, (briefly) reunited Blake Babies tomorrow, Tedeschi-Trucks & Los Lobos Sunday and Guided by Voices Monday!
-
Nada Surf last night in Boston. Excellent
-
Missed the Husker Du years, but saw Sugar a few times and solo shows 3-4 times - all excellent (and LOUD).
-
Got the Savages disc on the way, will see Bob Mould in a month or so and saw Courtney Barnett last year - seems like a parallel universe here.
-
Yo La Tengo - Music Hall, Portsmouth, NH, last night. Two sets: 1 acoustic, 1 not. Very Fine indeed!

is there a way to determine bit rate for Amazon songs? Cheers

Thanks for that tip BigD and for the link!Greg Kihn - Khintinued. Testing out my new turntable (no this wan't the 1st LP I played!)Steve Naive - It's Raining Somewhere
So I do like my rock and roll. One of my favorite (and unappreciated) bands is The Figgs. First heard them backing up Graham Parker years ago and have learned to love all their impressive catalog. Their newest LP was dropped today on emusic (at 3…Boston band "tugboat annie" seems to have most of their catalog available as free downloads. Here's but one example:
I didn't really expect much for my 99 cents, but I quite enjoyed the Beck album - I'd have been pleased at $1.29!
