I love TMT's sense of humor. "And you like some, if not all, of these artists!" should have been eMusic motto - you know, before they sucked.

I remember one of my sisters counting to 3 when one of her boys was acting up. After he stopped doing whatever he was doing, she looked at me and laughed. She said she had no clue what to do once she hit 3 anyway.

I can only count down from 5 so many times. Although it is a nice change from counting to 3 constantly for my toddler.

I'm hitting F5 so much you'd think it was Tuesday @ 2am on Amie Street.

I believe the title of this thread has been answered - We are dead...

@BT - It might not be that the majors are forcing the indies to go along with their plan, but rather eMusic deciding that everybody gets the same deal whether they want it or not.

I'm sure they simply used "wholesale" to mean "what the retailer pays their supplier". Technically it's a royalty or licensing fee or whatever, but the concept is similar enough. At least that's my guess. Of course it does make sense that the major …

Same here. I was there for a couple years before ever posting. None of my friends who joined eMu ever posted on the board.

I'll just say that there isn't really much reason for the labels to lie, or even to be disingenuous. Sure they may be a little vague as they also have no reason to be specific. eMusic has to make it appear as everything is just fine and they are not…

Wanderer has stepped in to remind everyone that having tons of major label releases is better than having the ones you actually want. All is right with the world.

If you do uninstall, run something like CCleaner afterward and then try to delete any remaining Word directories. Really clean the system out from anything that might be left behind.
I just got my 2nd or 3rd to last 50. I think it's time I grab those first 2 LP+EP combos.(Quote)
I had to quickly take a sip of water just so I could do a spit take after reading that. And the reality is that Amazon has lowered prices while eMusic has raised prices during the recession.I'm going to start linking directly to band/label websites. So many of the images/links in this thread will disappear tomorrow.
Then:@Rudie - Hell, I've got a Twitter search running so that I can watch them fail in realtime! And now non-US subscribers will not get the majors and will also lose the major indies...
Are you actually going to be able to d/l anything overseas?(love)
Can make your world go 'round

Can take a long long time

I've got to figure out love
(love)…Oh shit, Matador is Beggars Group, too? I totally forgot about that. What a clusterfuck. Seriously, there is not a single reason to stick with eMu at this point.
EDIT: I actually wrote this right after seeing your post over there, amclar…Holy hell, that's ridiculous. Sony, Warner and and UMG combined don't add up to the value of those labels for me. I was already assuming eMu wouldn't survive, now it seems like they have no chance at all.
in Are we dead yet? Comment by thomnottom November 2010Best line from the Billboard article: (Quote)Ugh, every so often I start trying to clean up my genre tags, but it usually ends up with me sobbing in the corner. Amie Street definitely did not help there (smooth soul/ne-soul/urban/r&b is not a genre - it's a mash of words), and Amazon's ove…Mostly the former, but occasionally the latter. The Great Guvera Giveaway screwed up a lot of things - it'll take me a year before I finally work my way through all of those albums. But I also have a ton of free tracks that peak my interest, but the…
