Hmm. Just signed up. Gave them all sorts of personal information so that they can track my every move. How long 'til my free stuff comes in?

Amie Street is slowing creeping towards more trouble than it's worth - at least for new releases. I don't mind that I'm not getting many freebies. Let's face it, $2.68 for Jonsi, $3.05 for The Morning Benders, and $1.89 for Red Sparrowes are al damn…

Maybe I'm wrong, but I figure that's a mistake on their part. The unintended consequence of how their software works. Maybe they would have corrected it, but not enough people complained about getting music for free. :P

I've heard that before, but I don't buy it. Two things:
1 - These were pretty much all the same sets that showed up mispriced at other online stores when they first went up. So it really wasn't that unexpected.
2 - If they di… -
The most I was ever able to do was 3 at a time - and it was really cool. But that was way back in college.
I'd really like to do all 4 sometime, but I don't think 4 decent stereos are necessary. Part of their experiments in those days ut… -

If anything that article solidifies the notion that, in spite of assertions by certain users on the other message board, eMusic was not in any financial difficulty before this decision was made. The price hike and subsequ… -
I'll go ahead and rec the Dan Black one. It's fun and catchy dance/pop. Nothing earth-shattering, but good to bop your head along to.

I mentioned my music list in another thread, but I'm not sure if I ever linked to it - Music Twits. I have to give credit to eMu for using their account rather well. They even do a r…

Had an eMu trial offer. Yes, I know I'm a bad person. Anywho, I had 11 left and happened to check out an album with 21 tracks. Got a message that if I bought the album they would give me the whole thing for free if I started my paid subscription. In…

I might just buy that from him even though I got it from Amie since I'm not sure if it was legitimate. Would definitely like to encourage him with offering FLAC on his site. Plus it's just an awesome album.

Good call on that September Collective. Snagged both of their albums on Amie. That might get me investigating MOSZ some more...

So far I've grabbed Earth's Earth 2, Comets on Fire's Blue Cathedral and Avatar, and Wolf Parade's At Mount Zoomer.
It looks like album pricing is now in effect, and so far I was right. It's the normal 10 minu… -

They are Russian, but they write lyrics in Russian and Finnish. Their genres are folk/doom metal and post-rock. Nice catch. -
I'm assuming that 10 and 11 track albums aren't going to be bumped up to 12 nps automatically. It seems that their concern are things like Earth and Comets on Fire that have 9 or less tracks but have 10+ minute tracks on them.
Maybe that… -
It slipped in with little fanfare, but there is a new Zu album. Still under 3 bucks.

You beat me to it. Of course we could probably just set up an automatic post for every Metalhit.com release.

My bad. It looks like they don't have any dates on the 2010 releases.
Supposedly the rest of the catalog will come eventually. -
I've seen so many "worst death metal picture" lists, and yet they never stop being funny.
Somewhat ironically, I was wishing this Dawn of Azazel album wa… -
No album pricing (at this time) which means you should grab Earth as soon as you can!

Whoa, he's got the Baby Huey Story on there. I've been looking for an inexpensive copy of that off and on since I heard it off someone's iPod. Interestingly, Lala thinks I own it and won't let me buy it for $5.99. :O

I never really considered The Afghan Whigs grunge. Then again, over time I never understood what grunge was. But they always seemed too soulful and... arty to be grunge. Greg Dulli's vocals grab me like very few others can. I'd be curious to check o…

To get a start, they've got the world's awesomest sampler page.

As long as your name isn't Crimson Razorback, sure!

Beach House didn't interest me much, but I love everything I've heard off their latest - that would be a big plus. Anything from Low or Iron and Wine that I don't already have. I'd like to check out Dntel, CSS, The Shins, Rogue Wave, Handsome Furs, …

Craig, you must be right. After looking up those phrases it turns out that they were jokes coined by a sales rep for Sub Pop. Dammit, how much longer do I have to wait for a disloyalty bonus to come in?
