Direct download! Wonderful and thank you!

It looks like it may work better on the Beta site. Up to 12 albums are displayed initially (8 on existing site). "Load More" quickly populates more. Drilling down into an album and then hitting back on the browser does take you back to an abbrevi…

The layout and features remind me a lot of the PLEX web interface. Especially when going to an Artist page with a photo at top, popular tracks below that, album listing below that.
One thing that would drive me crazy on the old site is t… -
-> Matt I have to say interactions do seem more responsive. I thought the slow (faux) purchase confirmation was on par with the old site, where selecting a track for download ended up taking a fraction of a minute to prepare, so it's good to kn…

Oops, I guess Muggsy says it is streaming only above. Maybe they have the design elements for download in place, but it is disabled? If they break the emusicj downloader I will be disappointed.

The suspense is killing me! Can anyone describe the features? How does this "completely free" beta work with respect to downloads? Is it streaming only?

SSDs are wonderful - the best thing for performance since multi-core CPUs, and reliable for me. I keep my media on a file server, but external drives seem to be a reasonable option.

In the singer-songwriter vein -- Jill Sobule's "Trains". Much imagery
"On the Peking to Paris,
You're a sculptor, I'm an heiress,
I'm running from my husband,
You're running from the law..."

Great discussion. I like being the curator of my audio collection. Not everything in the library has to be a song from a CD -- I can pull in old answering machine messages and failed attempts at recording my own music.

Good stuff, thanks for the recommendations and notes! I also sympathize with the appeal of mineswept rap, and I'm no prude. Someone could probably convince me that I am, but only if they used strong language. I've got a few of the dumps, it's a w…

I tried the upload feature using drag and drop with the Chrome browser. I've only tried single tracks so far, and it seems to upload at a rate of 20 seconds for every minute of play time for a track encoded at 160 kb/s. It wouldn't play a track im…

Looks like they have rebranded. I like the "My Music" part, but not the "Cloud" part. I'm hoping they are adding features that I can ignore and will retain the ability to download (and redownload) music files at attractive prices.

Since this seems to be the eMusic billing confusion thread, I thought I'd report I got an email today subject line "Please Update Your Billing Information" sender "MyMusicCloud". The body text lets me know that my Unlimited plan expired, but my cre…

I recently bought a refurbished 5th generation, and I can say it is quite a polished product. The touch control seems more refined than my Android devices. I say get a fresh one now, and have a look at the refurbished models, it saves $40 to $100 …

@Doofy How do you suppose the person on that blog page (Kek?) managed to get the individual tracks? My French is middling, but my understanding of the body text is that the source…

kez - in the previous incarnation of Guvera you could earn download credits by clicking on sponsored tiles. It was like whack-a-mole, except with a mouse and fashionable sunglasses. When you have credits, one of the mouse over options in the listi…

By the way, the Emu booster pack sale is still in effect even though it was supposed to end in September. I'm loading up on some Pet Shop Boys as research for an upcoming concert.

285 tracks! Most track titles in Arabic, some Anglicized. Vocoders and beats oh my... I'm going to make up my own sound-alike lyrics. Thanks for the tip elwoodicious!

I just received a $10 credit for no action other than maintaining membership. Is this the opening move for the new management?

I did this once in a one-on-one exchange about 15 years ago, and it was great. Is there any "tape" in a mix tape in 2013? One could exchange CD-ROMs, flash drives, microSD cards? microSD cards are pretty cool because you can tape them to paper an…

@amclark2 I like the defunct Australian band "Single Gun Theory". Dancy and full of samples that work for me. I find three tracks up on Guvera, but I like listening through th…

For an album, Ziggy Stardust. For a song, Fashion is brilliant for me. I have to wonder what they used for that repeating whoop whoop. I think Blur sampled it for Girls & Boys.

I think birdistheworm working. I got a captcha and a question.

I just got this promotion without even trying today. Buy a free Android app, get a $1 MP3 Credit. Buying free things is so much fun.

Thanks Doofy! I feel a bit guilty cashing in on these promotions, but I guess eMu has to spend their marketing budget somewhere.
