Just thought this event - link might need its own thread for anyone's recs - I have only begun to browse through all this, but here's my first - Eric Johnson
Live From Austin, Tx.'84 - his first appearance on Austin City Limits before much anybody outside Texas knew who he was. I just got the CD/DVD combo 2 weeks ago and like it a lot. Especially rec'd for guitar fiends.

Old 97's, The Grand Theatre Vol. 1. I'm halfway through and like it a lot, but I love this band.
Bettye LaVette, Interpretations: The British Rock Songbook. Listened to a couple songs last night, different arrangements of very familiar material, pretty cool.
Here's a freebie, if you've never listened to Ike Reilly, check him out. I first found him on Amie Street and have since picked up everything I could find with his name on it.
LKJ - Forces of Victory
Fela Kuti - Best of the Black President
And five others I'm considering (input on these welcome):
Foals - Total Life Forever
No Age - Everything In Between
T.Rex - The Slider
Swans - Rope, Father, Sky, etc
Magnetic Fields - Charm of the Highway Strip
The Roots of Chicha , the first volume over at eMu $5.99 - I wasn't going to do it but it is cheaper there.
