Sad News - Clarence Clemons

Really sad to hear that it is rumoured that Clarence Clemons has suffered a stroke - see http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/jun/13/clarence-clemons-springsteen-saxophonist-stroke I am sure that we all wish the E Street Band saxophonist a speedy recovery

  • Yes, Katrina, I agree. For people of my age, growing up and growing older with rock music, in many respects the E Street Band were part of the final flurries of the peak of rock music, and Clarence Clemons was a big part of the band in so many ways. The Big Man was described as 'probably the best rock saxophonist there has been' on one news programme yesterday, and I totally agree with that. The E Street Band won't be the same again, already missing Danny Fedicci and now the Big Man. RIP
