Anyone watching this show? I started because my friend Vicci is on it, but I've been surprised how good it is compared to other shows of this ilk. It's amazing to see someone I know doing so well. Everyone I know knows how talented Vicci is, but none of us expected someone from Tacoma, WA, to do so well. It's great. (Did you hear her version of "Jolene"?)

What are your thoughts?

    Vicci made the grand final, and it's on tonight.

    I've only watched snippets. The advertising campaign really drove me away. I liked the guy that looked like an extra from Lord of the Rings. There's definitely talent there, although I don't think I've caught Vicci at all (I didn't realize how many contestants there were).

    It's been a strange ride. I very much dislike American Idol and anything related to it. But I've actually enjoyed this show, for more than just Vicci. The songs are so much better. And these are real singers, artists. I've been surprised by how well Vicci is doing. She actually deserves to win. (I'll post the phone number to call later tonight.)

    She is good! I liked her song - I can see driving around and it playing on the radio.
