It's not new, hip, free or on sale, but I'm enjoying it anyway

We already have a what are you listening to now thread, and I would encourage everyone to keep posting there what you have on at the moment - I know I get listening ideas there regularly, new and old.

But this thread is explicitly to give everyone permission to share a few unpolished words, with or without pictures, not designed to prove that you are keeping up with anything or adding to humankind's collective wisdom or diligently scanning the electronic horizon for cool finds, but just to say something about music that you are enjoying and that should in any sane world still be permitted as a topic of conversation even if it was old news before, like, last week, or even, you know, ages ago.

That might prove too vague, but hey, let's see.

I'll kick off with a random note of gratitude to the Christmas sales back in December (Sales I know, but I'm not posting this because it's on sale)

I have wanted this album since I was 14. I loved the OMD singles of that era, Enola Gay was one of my favorites, and I thought the cover art was incredibly arty and cool. I yearned for it in more than one record store. But I had no money, and was able to buy very few LPs. Somehow when I could another one always just pipped this one at the post. Then I grew up and listened to other things. And now, three decades later, I got it for myself for Christmas. Woohoo! I don't care if it's still cool. (Do kind of wish I had the LP sleeve though)
  • I just posted in the end of eMu thread before I saw this one. Read my post about Glen Campbell's Ghost on the Canvas album over there.
