read'n books + stuff

first, the stuff: picked up 2 old copies of beer advocate from the library's 2nd hand bookstore for all of one quarter. gobs of great quarter stuff in this place.

now the book part: have been reading something worth taking the time to recommend. jose sarmago's "all the names".

    but i will not be recommending a book by the title "amsterdam" by some charmingly modern writer as it's a piece of crap.

    will recommend Kafka on the Shore by Murakami...interesting construction of story-lines and characters. however, one character is constructed a bit too conveniently for it to be pulled off without question (which the other characters accomplish).
