December 2012 Downloads

edited January 2013 in General
C'mon folk, time to step away from the fire hose and let us have a convenient summary of what you found.

A note on this list: I compile these by creating a smart playlist by date in iTunes and exporting it to excel. That means this is really a list of music added to iTunes in December, not a list of what was downloaded. In past times the difference between those two concepts was modest. Thanks to Guvera, despite the list below there's perhaps another gigabyte of stuff waiting to be tagged and added to iTunes. It'll probably show up in January - but since I use smart playlists, some of which are date sensitive, to manage the flow onto my iPod Touch, I've been holding stuff back to avoid overwhelming the Touch.

Total cost of everything below: about $17. (The CDs were Christmas gifts)

To my own great suprise, favorite album on the list: Duke Ellington & Johnny Hodges - Back To Back. Amazing stuff.

  • Sorry, GP, I can't give an adequate accounting this month. I had to restore my HD to "factory conditions," meaning I don't have a convenient list at hand. (And yes, everything was backed up).
  • I can't keep up with those who get Guvera credits!
  • We need you to get Guvera so that we have another person searching out interesting records.
  • No joke BT. Greg and BN especially would be finding lots of great stuff.

I'll get my list done tonight when I can sort via date added.

  • Yes I think BN, Lowlife, Nerefidd, myself and others should refer Guvera to the EU for restrictive practices! Imagine the classical input you would get from Nerefidd, for example...
  • It would be great to have it in the UK, just as E Music slides to the bottom
  • Greg and BN especially would be finding lots of great stuff.
    - No doubt about that.
Greg and I have volunteered to be European test persons.

    - As usual, my €music dl's is on my 2012 list - (month>label>year in comments)
