Being an avid music listener who spent a good portion of his young adult life in the fair city of Hoboken, Maxwell's was a vital part of my night life. The club has ties to Yo La Tengo (obviously), Sonic Youth, & The Feelies as well as hosting other legends like Nirvana, The Replacements and Bruce Springsteen. In all honesty I couldn't list all of the shows I've seen there, let alone all of the luminaries that have past through. Only a couple months ago Rolling Stone called it the 3rd best club in America.

Todd Abramson has officially announced that they are closing at the end of July...

Seriously, though, I really hope someone comes in and takes the place over. It would be a shame to lose another one of the classic clubs.
