Fans of I am Sitting in a Room
I ignored '4 Rooms' too long. Alvin Lucier fans of 'I am Sitting in a Room' may enjoy Jacob Kirkegaard's 4 Rooms was reportedly recorded with a process similar to Lucier's. I am not certain what. '4 Rooms' is out of place from Kirkegaard's other 3 recordings at emusic.com.
Kirkegaard produces 4 nice drones from community places in the now uninhabited quiet zone surrounding the Chernobyl nuclear disaster like a gym and a pool. Interesting stuff, but what really brought me to this music was the sound. Reminds me of the Deep Listening Band.
