Any Minnesotans want to see Sufjan Stevens?

edited August 2009 in Country & Folk
Apparently he is playing 17 dates next month and one is in Minneapolis at the 400 Bar. Which of course is tiny. I checked out the tickets and there is a strict limit of 2 per person (on sale Saturday), you can only pick them up at will call (with a government issue ID), and you have to enter the Bar as soon as you get them.

Wow.

I don't know if it's the same rules on the other dates, but at least here they are going all out to make sure there is no scalping. Just imagine the rules if he actually released a new album!

    Rationing!

    Government-controlled rationing!

    Socialism!

Does Michelle Bachmann know about this?
  • Heh. My parents are her constituents so I'll have them notify her!

You missed an important part though:
you have to enter the Bar as soon as you get them.

Clearly this whole thing is a ploy to get indie rock fans into reeducation camps. I'll bet Sufjan Stevens doesn't even show up, and instead all attendees will be forced to enjoy an evening with Nickelback!
