OHHH!!! I Hate that

3 times in the last month or so, I've waited a week before buying a new release on eMu, hoping that they would offer one of the tracks as the daily freebie and I would get the album for one track cheaper as a result.

Each time after the wait and no freebie, I've decided to go ahead and buy the album. And guess what?.....each time the free daily download the very next day was on the album I just bought.


It makes me paranoid that eMu is doing this to me on purpose...

    @mommio - I've actually tried holding off for an extra day (two in fact), thinking that might work, but it only seems to delay the freebie by an equal time. It's synchronicity at work.

    I missed the last two Monday night drops due to being out of town and not having a late night internet connection. I did make out like a bandit on the Warner/Rhino drop - I found some cheap BB cards in Bismarck and spent the rest of the week getting over dozen multi-sets they left up for a week art 12 credits.

    @lawyerman - looks like you've been jammin' on the RECs of late, my friend...

    I did REC the Eels new album, but alas, not while it was free - I'll probably make enough in REC money to pay for the album itself.

    I've had some good luck. I'm still not getting much RECd when it is free anymore (I was about 5 seconds late on my RECs for the Joey Ryan album), but I've been making more than I paid usually.

    Plus, I need the street cred. Got to pass thom back!

    I'd already grabbed the Eels album on eMu. Not sure how much I like it yet. It's not bad, but Hombre Lobo was much better.

    I understand with some of the millions that they made from the Sony Drop they hired a team of psychics to prevent your cheating the system.

    Wow, I didn't even realize that you passed me again!

    I've only used a handful of recs in the past month. It's been a while since I've managed to grab a really popular album early enough to make any cash back. Actually, I think most of my recent Amie purchases have been albums that were sitting over there for 2 or 3 bucks for awhile.
