Yes it actually happened.

Four hundred years of slavery, degradation, jim crow, discrimination and miscellaneous bullshit had finally culminated in the inauguration of the first openly African American president in the history of the United States.

Yes life was sweet, at least for some. For others it was the ultimate nightmare and they did everything they could to disparage the event.

Despite a report from Fair and Balanced news that the new president was changing the official national bird from the bald eagle to fried chicken and had ordered all white people to the cotton fields for orientation peace and harmony reigned.

Nonetheless, some taught it might be a good time to start trying to pass

Only this time around the river was running in reverse and white people now wanted their own freedom.

White people truly did need freedom, just as much as black people.

Over the course of two centuries we had gone from old slavery to share cropping to jim crow to the new slavery. And this time white folks came along for the ride.

Although it was always expected to be harder on some the new slavery was truly indiscriminate

Yeah, its true we really did say all that

But we never said race doesn't matter

folks are just not focused on the real
