I thought this was pretty impressive: Her new album has gone gold...in the first week! "Soldier of Love" sold 502,000 copies during the week ended February 14, according to tracking firm Nielsen SoundScan. also setting a new sales record for the band."

I don't know if these figures are all CDs or what, but dang. You go, girl.

    Yeah she is getting some airplay and apparently deservedly so.

    I am still try to get a really good listen to Soldier of Love but it sounds she is getting out of the easy listening groove.

    I think I like it.

    I'm listening to it on Lala this morning, it's good. She is always listenable...maybe a tad more of an edge than in past rekkids (not that it would take much).

    All in all a good mellow R&B groove for grown-ups, which is why I was so surprised to see the monster sales! They are selling it at my local Starbucks, for one thing.

    Have to give this a listen. Pretty impressive sales considering she's only put out 2 other albums in the past 2 decades.
