the appearance of the highest ranking officer in the field of secretly spiced poultry preparation as a wisened panderer?
    whacky, indeed....and strangely familiar.
  • Haven't read this one, nor do I have it at hand. Checked out the Amazon Editorial Reviews -- from Publisher's Weekly: "Murakami likes to blur the boundary between the real and the surreal—we are treated to such oddities as fish raining from the sky; a forest-dwelling pair of Imperial Army soldiers who haven't aged since WWII; and a hilarious cameo by fried chicken king Colonel Sanders—but he also writes touchingly about love, loneliness and friendship."

So which emuser has been using a pseudonym?
  • not sure any of us in the house would go in the direction of sexing up literature and philosophy...although once i did cough up a pair of panties in college.

where is that original thread??? let's revive it and so forth...

looming: i'm going to share something that is an affirmation of what we do with these crazy words. i encourage those of you who let your hair down and clak clak clak to stop back over the next few days as i gather the humility to let this story stand on its own.

OK professor Brittleblood I finished my homework.

This Murakami fellow should be sued for copyright infringement and time traveling without a license.

I would hire a lawyer and do it myself if it weren't for the fact that I probably stole it from the same place he did.

Oh and yall should warn a brother that the page numbers are different for the paperback version. I almost intercoursed around and read a whole book. Japanese pop culture lit is not really my thing.
