For any Louis Jordan fans, and everyone ought to be a Louis Jordan fan, I just found that the box set, 5 CDs, has been reduced in price at Amazon to $15.99, 131 tracks - Louis Jordan & His Tympani Five[Box Set, Original Recordings, Remastered]. It used to be about $28 and was on my to do list, but this is a steal, and is a better price than the 48 credit box offering at eMu which doesn't include the 5th disc for some reason. I've always thought that his jumping rhythm and blues was one of the primary wellsprings for rock'n'roll. Happy rocking.
