IODA at eMu

edited June 2010 in General
It has come up over at eMu that IODA has gone Album Pricing which includes a lot of labels, but the biggies for me are Rounder and Arhoolie to start with. This actually might mean more to me than some of the major label drops.

  • That a case where album pricing is a good thing since 330 out of 350 Arhoolie albums, and 640 out of 884 Rounder albums have 12 or more tracks.

There are several albums I've foregone on both labels due to the amount of credits needed. In some case it would only cost a few bucks more to buy the CD under the old pricing structure. I wish I still had those 2 90 track a month memberships, like the good old days.
  • On the down side it's the end of good deals at lovely music

I had several classical albums on my SFL (Mahler, for example) that were four or five longer tracks, all of which are now 12 np/album pricing.
