just where in tarnation is that thread with you announcing an addition to the family? i want to slap up some recs for movies to have on y'er playlist to watch with y'er kid
are you doubting the super powers of your wife IN PUBLIC no less...good god, man, haven't you learned a thing since you were - ahem- fitted???
for example, she could see a poof of yarn and - in all earnest - announce "i could make a lovely fluffkin with that." and we're to believe you'd cast a brow and say "dammit woman, enough's enough! no more yarn!"
By the way, when I say I'm not sure she needs more, I'm actually talking from her perspective. She recently considered thinning the stash on eBay/craigslist herself.
well, if she's going to unstash, ebay is the way to go. we're about 10 days into the destashing exercise and the stuff sells. i think we've posted 125 lots. of the 25 that have closed, 23 have sold. of the remaining, about half has been bid on so we know it'll go and things start to go as they get closer to end auction. i wish i had this kind of hit rate back in the day!
and, there's light at the end of the tunnel. shipments going out.
all this is a result of mia losing her craft room. the boys are at the age where they each get their own room. mia had to move her stuff into her office so her storage space was reduced to about 1/4th of her original acreage.
with parenthood looming, not a bad idea to weed out.
Believe me, we've been weeding. Between a free stuff ad on craigslist and a trip to the dump we got rid of about 1,000 pounds of junk in one weekend a couple months ago. It has slowed considerably since then, but certainly hasn't stopped. It's amazing, because we just moved into our house in 2005. How did it collect so fast?
Ellen is due on November 1, so the end of the preparations period is fast approaching. Nursery is pretty much ready to go, and I think I have all my house construction/repair projects done for the moment. Probably one or two little projects that are slipping my mind at the moment, but nothing big left. Basically we are now playing the waiting game.

mia's unloading a buttload of her stash on ebay. tell the missus to chx it out - oddly - the stuff is selling like hotcakes.
so, there you have it. our old cd's - which we'd cling to in a storm - go for pennies if at all. while plain old vanilla yarn is the bomb.
I'll let Ellen know, but based on the amount that she has in her stash, I'm not sure she needs more!
