song from latest weeds episode

edited September 2010 in General
can anybody tell me the name of the snappy pop song that played as the Silas character surveyed the college campus
on the latest weeds episode?
not since the HBO series "John From Cincinnati" played a Kava Kava tune have I been so intrigued by a tv tune.

edit: that last statement is not exactly accurate; true blood has ended with several songs that have left me
wonderin'; this season's finale for instance: whose doin' "evil"?

  • Don't know about Weeds, but for True Blood, it's “Evil Is Going On” by Jace Everett & CC Adcock.

HBO listed the music on their website the first season; I don't know why they stopped. This site has it, though.

No cable here, but you might find what you want here:

  • thanks Katrina, their version of "Evil" is definitely something i want to pursue.

thanks Mommio, i went to the site you posted, but the song wasn't there; oh well.......
  • You're welcome! I don't get Showtime - isn't that what Weeds is on?
I did get the 1st season on DVD from my library. Only watched about 3 eps before I had to turn it back in. Looks pretty good!

Another series that has some good tracks is Hung. The storyline is disappointing, as it is awful and could have gone in a muchbetter direction. I was a little stunned when I read it was being renewed for a 3rd season. But, they do have good tracks on the closing credits.

Weeds is on Showtime; the first few seasons were really creative and interesting; they seem to have written themselves into a corner
at this point, it will be interesting to see if they can keep it fresh. the music is always first rate.
you are right about Hung; in my opinion, without the Tanya character, it would not have lasted as long as it has-i guess the soft porn angle
has given it some wheel though. the story takes place in Detroit doesn't it? that would explain the the stellar tunes.

    for my money, true blood gets the nod, hands down, for writing and music these days; however, my favorite show of recent years was Life On Mars;
just about every song played on that series hit some kind of nostalgic nerve.
