keeping in mind my lean towards the hyperbolic, if Neil had featured a full band ( Crazy Horse) behind this recording, rock and roll would have stopped and had a damn hard time deciding where to go next.
if you like Neil you will love this album.

I bought the CD yesterday, and I have been enjoying it a great deal. Well worth the price, Neil's best in years. @selfrisinmojo is correct, with Crazy Horse behind these songs, it would be a masterpiece. I like his idea behind the recording (just him and Llanois producing), but these are such great songs that bass/drum/keys support would enhance the bombast.

Hitchhiker is my favorite at the moment, but they are all worth hearing. This note's for you.

i have been with my wife 30 years and counting, this is the first noisy Neil she has listened through completely and truly enjoyed; that is what makes this
a special recording-nothing new or revelatory; just a successful merging of both his alters.
i would have preferred the full band thrust; but this will do just fine for now.

finally got it and am loving it the first few times through. personally I wouldn't change a thing - I feel like I've already heard the album it would be with Crazy Horse - but that's just me.
