Good month for me with my freebies and first (and only) Limewire Store month, plus my last eMu month.
The Wire
Beak> - Beak>: Good mix electronic and krautrock. You can really hear both Portishead and Can
Betty Davis - They Say I'm Different: Two of her three albums are now mine, but I won't be getting the third from the Wire. Sigh.
The Budos Band - The Budos Band III: Finally got around to getting one of their albums. Definitely need the other two.
David Byrne & Brian Eno - Everything That Happens Will Happen Today: A bit of a let down for me with it being these two guys and with as good as "Strange Overtones" is.
Fuck Buttons - Tarot Sport: Been loving the post rock recently and this fits right in.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada: Ditto.
Gold Panda - Lucky Shiner: Not nearly as good as its press, but still an enjoyable album.
Konono N1 - Congotronics: Didn't have any of there stuff. What was I thinking?
Matthew Dear - Black City: Closer to its press than the Gold Panda, but still a bit of a let down.
Polvo - Today's Active Lifestyles: Post rock again.
Victoire - Cathedral City: One of my favorite purchases this month. Simply beautiful.
eMu
Atmosphere - To All My Friends, Blood Makes the Blade Holy - The Atmosphere EPs: There's a bit of filler on this, but also a couple great tracks.
Don Caballero - American Don: Thanks for the rec thom! Definitely needed this in my collection.
Homayun Sakhi - Music of Central Asia Vol 3: Homayun Sakhi: The Art of the Afghan Rubab: Thanks for the rec to several of you!
Matt & Kim - Sidewalks: I'm such a sucker for these two. Not as good as Grand, but still so much fun.
V/A - Nigeria 70 - Lagos Jump: Had been in my SFL for ever, and I'm so glad I finally added it to Vol 1.
Amazon
Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy: My number 2 album for the year, so yeah, I like it.
Guvera
Scott Walker - Tilt: Haunting. Now I need The Drift

karg - I'll keep an eye open. For me it was worth the hassle of Guvera, but can I certainly see where it wouldn't be.
