Jeff Beck Rock and Roll Tribute to Les Paul

edited December 2010 in General
I hope anyone who gets the chance tunes in to this - PBS in New York has been running it as a pledge drive item - really, really good. The CD and DVD are coming out in February I think.
So, does anyone who's seen it know what the name of the slow bluesy/torchy song that the young lady, Imelda May(?), sang? Definitely a fairly well known number from the era but it's driving me crazy - I've got to have it.

  • I haven't seen the show, but I have read that Imelda May sings Vaya Con Dios; Bye, Bye Blues; and Walking in the Sand. Maybe Walking is the one?

    Is this it?

  • That's It! Thank you. YouTube - what a concept. Doh!
Originally by the Shangri-Las, that surprises the hell out of me too.
  • Wow. It's a different song on that set of pipes.
  • Yeah, I guess I'll just have to wait for the release in Feb. but it's one of those things where 1 listen and a song is haunting you. Her band is really good too.
