"Way Out East" by the Wayne Horvitz Gravitas Quartet of Ron Miles (trumpet), Sara Schoenbeck (bassoon), Peggy Lee (cello), and Horvitz (piano, electronics). This has become my go-to weekend morning album when my only plan is to lounge on the sofa and read.
@djh thanks for the tip re Clair Chase. Listening to her music led me to the album "The Soul Is The Arena" on which she appeared with Mario Diaz de León, Joshua Rubin and The International Contemporary Ensemble. I particularly like the third track "Portals Before Dawn".

Having listened mainly to tracks off Swervedriver's "Raise" album at their concert last night, I thought I would play my favourite album of theirs, "Mezcal Head".
Senyawa, Sujud (2018). An experimental band from Java, Indonesia, quite drone-y. Not sure where I got this album, but it turned up in the mix today. This album is not on Bandcamp, but the links go there for the curious.
"Songs of the Humpback Whale" by Roger Payne released in 1970 and which according to the BBC is the best selling environmental album of all time. "It became emblematic of the West’s shifting attitudes towards environmentalism, inspiring a global movement to save the whales which continues to this day."
Together with the sounds of whales, "it had contributions from the world of music, science and ecology, including the folk singer Judy Collins, Greenpeace Oceans Campaigner Willie Mackenzie, Greenlandic musician Peter Tussi Motzfeldt, marine biologist and electronic musician Sara Niksic, music writer Simon Reynolds and Roger Payne."

Nice to be reminded of these guys, one time big favourites of The Wire magazine. I've had their Menjadi album since 2020 and frankly it hasn't had the attention that it deserves. As for this album your link took me to a page via the waybackmachine and the album was $7 and I wasn't logged in. Strange I thought. I opened another Bandcamp tab did a search and there was the album now for $10 - such is life. It's in the Wishlist for the next BC Friday in a couple of weeks.
I really enjoyed listening to the album "The Spirit Of Ntu" by South African pianist and composer Nduduzo Makhathini. Contemporary Jazz with elements of Spiritual and Afro Jazz.
This bad boy has just been re-issued today as NYOP on Bandcamp. Got me to delving into my digital library to play my rips of the 2-cd version. Said 2-cd version is of two editions with differing track lists for reasons I know not why. All trippy floating ambient heat haze and the rest as you might expect.
Neuschwanstein, Battlement. Fantastic 1979 German prog album. Could be a lost early Genesis album. According to Wikipedia, "The album's importance to the progressive rock scene is also evident from the fact that there are hundreds of articles, reviews, and blogs on Battlement worldwide."
