esnoozers? All that other place is currently good for is making my eyelids verrrrrrrrrrry heavvvvvvvvy. I'm jonesing on Guvera crack. I'm going to have to curl up under a rock and hibernate soon.
Bumping.
Because I like 'egoners' and xtrev loooooves this thread, not.
xtrev, I want to thank you!
Your site has expanded into so much more than I thought, and probably you thought, it would ever be.
Thank you so much for taking the time to set this up for us, never aksing for a dime. Whatever ISP you're hosting with, they're gold...I rarely get the inane errors I see at other small offshoot site where members of a defunct forum connect.
It's funny, I've seen posts here & around the 'net, folks wish they had found emusic back in their heyday. I guess I'm an old enough emuser to laugh. I was pissed I missed the 2000K club. Yah, I got some 2 cents tracks along the way, so I'm happy. Sending crack codes to international folks, good times, good times.
eMusic has certainly changed!
So has emusers, and I think you've got a good thing going on here, xtrev. Thanks again.
The emu forum is pretty tedious. Any jazz posts I make here and at AAJ, I'll add to the emu jazz recommendation thread only as an afterthought. It'd be nice to get some of the other participants on that thread over here.
There was a great topic a few weeks ago over there about electronic music. I picked up Pierre-yves Mace's Circulations based on that. I agree though that such conversations are all too rare, especially with the latest impending changes.
I was just going through the Electronic new releases for the first time in, I dunno, months? I can see nothing has changed.
I definitely possess an internal algorithm that negatively correlates the amount of money an album will cost me and the amount of time I've got to sift through the misfiled and the crap to find my ultimate purchase. The more emusic raises its prices, the less I'm willing to spend the time sifting through their wreckage.
If it's the one I'm thinking of, that was a good thread. Electronica could use a decent recommendation thread even more than jazz.
That damn picture of the emu with the mod haircut inexplicably continues to draw chuckles from me every time I scroll past it. I can't wait until this thread hits the next page.
Oh, that is different than the one I was thinking of. There was another that gave me a couple good recs, and then a weird tangent on a second that gave me the name of some obscure Italian ambient label.
But then again, I'm pretty new to the genre, so even a moderately stocked rec thread will be more rewarding for a newbie like me than it will for others that have been around for awhile.
Excellent, Im going to use "bookfacing" on my son when he gets home from school. He's into this alternately cute & annoying phase of talking like Yoda and "phrases turning around". Friend me on bookface, he must.

Although a lot of it is constructive and useful I grow weary of the constant bitchin
Now I can't even get to their forum it just returns the oops page. They probably don't want to hear the bitchin either
