Working through the 110,000 titles in doofy's above post (well perhaps excepting the 68,000 Dance & DJ) - found this very solid 50's collection for $2.99, in Amazon Daily mp3 Download Deals Comment by BigD-Bluez March 2013

@doofy - got the CD last week and was very well pleased with it.
-
FWIW I'm using Firefox on a Mac and haven't experienced any DL failures at all.
-
@BT - prog rockish, yeah. The older stuff is more I hesitate to say more refined(?), less crossover. Silk Road would be one album I'd rec. I see G.s got something called Bes…

Found some more Oscar Peterson Trio goodness, and G.'s got all the tracks including the 13:52 Album Only Daisy's Dream - must give props to eMu for finding this in the Trio section there (and the picture) -

Just had my first listen to the new Emmylou Harris/Rodney Crowell album Old Yellow Moon - big thumbs up. It's on Nonesuch so the MP3 price is pretty steep for my tastes so I went with the CD - very good.

As much as the term "new age" can invoke the heebie jeebies, there is a baby in that bath water. I have some Windham Hill stuff from way back that was pretty good, a lot of it being acoustic guitarists who got tarred with the new age brush because …

G.'s got 5 of the seven cuts from this album (missing 2 Album Only), but I figured I had to get the whole thing at Amazon.

Here's an odd two-fer from the Joe Pass section of Amazon CD's - Stones' Jazz? Who even contemplated such a thing, Horatio?

Oops, my bad, kargatron. Must have been that big album cover hovering over your name.
So, Thank you kindly, doofy (and kargatronwhobeatdoofybyfourminutes). -
Thank you kindly, doofy - I think there is a lot of this I don't have now that I can see album titles. The set dropped at eMu yesterday for $30. If it comes to G. it might have to become a long term project.
There have been grumblings about … -
Speaking of the Capitol Jazz Vault series, I have yet to find any breakdown of the original source albums contained in this Joe Pass volume below. I would really like to not have to do a song by song (album by album) search and compare against my M…

I got the Bruno Mars album. What's funny about the Billboard 70's album is that of the 30 songs about 1/3 are precisely why I used to believe the music of the 70's sucked (especially after the 60's, but then the 80's and 90's, not to mention the 00…

Oopsies, this one must have fell through the cracks over at eMu - Tito Puente - The Complete 78s Volumes 3 & 4 - it's only $5.99 for …
-
That $8.99 is the eMusic a la carte price - once you log in it will revert to the member price.

Ah, back from the days when whole operas could be picked up at eMu for a few downloads. Even in glorious mono this version is still very good -

Just watched an episode of American Masters on PBS about Sister Rosetta Tharpe - Wow! I'll say again, Wow! She really had the gift.

Do you know this face? Take my word for it, you should get to if you don't. Lost In The Ozone, the very first album from Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen and G.'s got it - stoner freaks doing hell raising country & western/R&…

30th Anniversary Edition of Texas Flood by Stevie Ray Vaughan, 2 disc CD set -

@kez - I went through the volumes serially - it was my subway commute reading for I think all of 2012. Timing worked out well - I finished Volume 13 a month before A Memory Of Light…

Thought last night's episode of Ripper Street on BBC America, with guest appearance by another GOT alumnus Iain Glen, was really good.
