Ditto on the 8. Have been looking at some blues, and although the Search aspect is an unholy mess, there is a fair representation of artists/albums from the Black Top label ( in Guvera Comment by BigD-Bluez January 2013

Apologies for any reduncy but browsing for ideas found there's quite a lot of Joe Bonamassa, also the eponymous first album from his rock side project Black Country Communion (highly rec'd - other band members include Glenn Hughes and Jason Bonham).…

Once more into the breach, bass ackwards - I went to Amazon to edit my Cloud a little because I just linked it yesterday to my Roku box, Amazon Cloud being a new Roku channel which I can see being pretty useful, and all the freebie singles and crap …

Favorite Bowie song would be Ashes To Ashes, although the song I probably hit on the iPod Bowie playlist most often is The Man Who Sold The World, so how to define favorite. Album is tricky because of that darned iPod playlist - it would be Changes…

Poking around for acoustic music - there's loads of Tony Rice and various accomplices.
Found this one I got years ago at eMu - highly recommended:

@BT - was just poking around at G and noticed they have Strict Tempo by Richard Thompson - all instrumental, Brit/Celtic stuff. Have you heard it? If not I think you'd like.

Yow, hot stuff. Hat's off to G for the 96% they have available-

Being so smitten with The Oscar Peterson Complete Mercury/Clef Recordings I want to post a memo to check out the further adventures of the trio here -

What better season to reexamine the roots of so much disagreement in our world - the whole series is quite good, and it's been quite a few since last look.

Not all at once, but the Complete Mercury/Clef Recordings, thanks to G - hate to use the word except when I have to, but, awesome.

A Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all, and ain't it just tout sweet that the world didn't end and there's still time to try to listen to those digital libraries some of us are sitting on. Listen on, Garth.

The $5 album collection isn't doing a lot for me (at least in terms of things I don't already have), but if you look through the 100 Blues albums there are some good artists and a goodly number of Alligator releases for which $5 is more reasonable t…

But, like, do you have any, like, actual Mayans in Denmark? Don't you, like, need Mayans around for the Mayan calender to end? Are there at least some Taco Bells, or Chi Chi's?

Wow, a Big Box I'm actually going to pass on, not for not liking old Ludwig van, but for having several versions of the 9 symphonies already, plus more on CD, the very nice Alexander String Quartet Complete String Quartets from 7dig, a piano …

I don't know boo about Bill Nelson but I just read an article in some recent guitar rag where he was interviewing Duane Eddy, who was one of his idols, and I was very intrigued. I looked him up on 7digital on a whim and find in Post your inside tips and mispriced box sets right here Comment by BigD-Bluez December 2012

Thanks, BN - precious little info around on the man. Definitely a more swing era vibe, but it's going on the SFL.

r.e. Breaking Bad - I can only heartily recommend sticking with it because some really whack s**t is coming in the next couple of seasons. One of the better, if dark and twisted, shows on TV for me.

@amclark2 - I was going to ask if you found any seeds or stems in there but I realize that's the outside of the album cover.
