No new ones for me. I wouldn't wait on using the ones you have, because they have a habit of disappearing if not used promptly.
-
There are lots of these.
Sonny Rollins did the solo in the Stones' "Waiting on a Friend." [edit: CaptainWrong beat me to it]
And he's not jazz, but I just found out recently that Junior Walker did the sax solo in Foreigner's … -
I think this change will be the end at eMusic for me too. I may try it in November, but with album pricing and random bonus credits my monthly plan was good for three albums. Now it'll get me two, not worth the commitment. The claimed discount of…

Go Phils, I don't care who they play. One down, ten to go.
-
Just one for me too, in both accounts. Enough to finish the Dr. John.

After a few days with no new credits, I usually stop checking until somebody posts here that they got more. I hadn't been there in a while when I was tipped off to the great September EMI giveaway, and I've been there at least once a day since then…

Wow, that's a lot of music. I feel better about my own list now. I'm gonna be simplistic and list things alphabetically by source. This cost me roughly $50 (and many, many hours of my time). Thanks to all who made recommendations in the Amie Str…

Who are you who is so wise in the ways of science?
Actually, that makes sense, except that I filled out all the info for both accounts, and I don't think I bothered to change anything except the e-mail address. I call it her account, bu… -
I just got two new credits on one account that are not limited to EMI releases. My wife's account didn't get any freebies though. Weird.

@Katrina: I'm not big on absolutes. If you want to say Pearl Jam's bass player is better than Nirvana's, you'll get no argument from me. If you want to argue vocals with Eddie …

Katrina, I know you've posted the same thing on the eMu boards before, but I must repeat:
Dave Grohl is the most powerful drummer in the universe. Say what you want about his guitar/frontman skills, which are certainly… -
Got some Lloyd Cole, Neil Finn and Golden Palominos (thx Katrina) today. Kinda glad tomorrow's the end of the month.

I've been able to find and download 17 tracks from PATGOD, 14 of which look to be from the recent anniversary reissue. First ten songs in mono, plus Paintbox, Matilda Mother (alt. version), Apples and Oranges (mono and stereo vers… -
I've found a bunch of great stuff from IRS Records, though some albums are sadly incomplete. This link was helpful to jog my memory about some of the great bands from that label. This morning I g…

Also, for those who remember Timbuk 3, some really good stuff there.
I didn't check to see if those dB's albums were complete because I already… -
Another good one I found today: three great dB's albums available with the promo (Stands for Decibels, Repercussion, The Sound of Music) here

Blew through my last $9 and change today. Love and Rockets (Sorted! The Best of) and Robyn Hitchcock (Sex, Food, Death and Tarantulas EP and a couple of spare tracks off the Spooked album to kill my last buck). Still have fifteen cents in the acco…

BigD, thanks for the tip on Gary Moore. I got After Hours and Still Got the Blues, wasn't too tough to sort them out. I'd also recommend Blues for Greeny, his tribute to Peter Green, if anybody doesn't have it -- it's also inc…

I can't buy anything right now. Downloads seems to be working though.
-
Yes it was. Glad I exhausted my daily supply of freebies this morning. Once Amie closes up shop tomorrow, I'll have a LOT of new stuff to listen to.
-
I haven't tried. I've been too busy downloading while I still can. My home internet (DSL) is very sketchy, so I have to load up when the signal's strong. It was basically out all day today until about an hour ago.
-
I know Fela has been mentioned several times in this thread, but these two comps are a screaming deal.

I've been loading up on Pink Floyd myself. Meddle, Obscured by Clouds, the second disc of Ummagumma (I got the first from Guvera a while back), the 30th Anniversary edition of DSOTM, and the tracks from the reissue of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn…

BigD, I've been doing the same thing. Got the bonus tracks from several CDs I already had (OK Computer, The Bends, Space Oddity 40th), plus a cool XTC rarities box. I don't think I'll have trouble keeping this going thru the end of the month.
-
Finished with XTC yesterday, filled some gaps in my Bowie collection today. I'm sure I'll find something for tomorrow.
-
I used up my 31 credits on the XTC 2-disc singles collection, which happens to be 31 tracks. Then I logged in this morning to see a fresh 31. Yes, Guvera is a pain in the a$$, but I'll deal with it.

So Frogkopf, if I've never heard any Calla and could only pick up one of their albums available on Amie, which one would you recommend? I just added $15 to my account via the Sony 50% off link to grab a few odds and ends.
-
After cashing all my RECs I had a bunch of credit to burn -- these should keep me busy for a while. Still downloading the last few albums. I found many of these through the various Amie threads on this board, so thanks!

I cashed out all my RECs last night, but I still have 375 unused RECs and no idea what to do with them. I was able to make several purchases yesterday but none have gone through today.
