Crap. Oh, well, I guess I've got some RECs to cash and some credit to spend.

OK, I'm trying it again with my entire hard drive, roughly 180 GB:
(Gotta Get A) Meal Ticket: Elton John (on Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, one of the first LPs I ever bought -- great song in Elton's catalog that never gets… -
OK, I'm a little apprehensive, but I'll put the iPod on shuffle and see what happens. The 32G iPod touch is about 20% of my library, but through random playlists it should be pretty representative.
Replacements, 20th Century Boy (outtak… -
I just cleared an old one off my SFL (Celibate Rifles). Sounds pretty good so far. Got the 15 freebies for rocking plus the 5 from Facebook. I think I've got 10 more coming for rating 10 albums. No complaints here.
Good news on the T… -
If you don't have any Wire, you need to start with Pink Flag.

I just downloaded the Fuzz Beloved and like it a LOT. Very cool, thanks!

Betty Davis is awesome.

Been meaning to give a shout-out to Selfrisinmojo for this rec. Totally awesome, and still under four bucks. -
Most of my buying has been on Amie Street:
Peter Case - Wig!
Juliette and the Licks - Four on the Floor (Dave Grohl on drums...)
The Citizens - Are We There Yet?
Shank Bone Mystic Project - ...from within the walls

Couldn't have put it better. Man, this rocks. Thanks for the rec! That Chillbone is awesome. Thanks for the rec. Anything with Will Lee on bass is worth checking out.I got that offer several times before I took them up on it right after the Warner drop. I've been a member since then.Just got an email offer for a 50% off sale.On Amie:
Blue Rodeo, Track 7, disc 2 of The Things We Left Behind ("And When You Wake Up") is defective. Rest of the album is fine. Reported it to Amie and they acknowledged the defect but haven't pulled the track or the album.

Absolutely. Since you get full price when you REC something while it's free, and these days the new releases can't be counted on to stay free long enough to REC all the tracks, let alone listen to them or write a review, there's j…(Quote)
I agree with this. It does seem like many of the same people grab and REC the freebies on most of the big new releases. The only times I've been able to do so was when they happened to do a random, middle of the day release on so…Me too.I'm using iTunes on a Mac and have never had this problem. I have gotten plenty of corrupt downloads from Amie using the downloader, but I've never had a later problem with a file that downloaded properly. I have lately had to break up albums by d…Selfrisinmojo, I LOVE Treat Her Right. I like the first two albums better than What's Good For You, but I think those are out of print. Anyway, great stuff.
Right now I'm listening to the new New Pornographers. So far so good. This one dropped last weekend, I believe. It's really good, and just over $4 now for 14 tracks.
Jason & The ScorchersThe Robyn Hitchcock got 4 1/2 stars on AMG.
I'm assuming that The Hold Steady record posted at $8.98, because it has no RECs. No reason to buy…Will Owsley
His two solo records (Owsley and The Hard Way) are excellent, guitar-heavy power pop. I first heard of him when I saw him open for Chris Isaak probably…That sucks. Not suprising, I guess, but it still sucks. I haven't gotten that email yet.
If I wasn't addicted to my various iPods over the years, I'd find a lot of reasons not to do business with Apple. For a company that made it big …(Quote)
How do you find the time (if you do) to listen to even a fraction of that much music? There aren't enough hours in the day. Do you listen to everything eventually, or do you check out a couple of tracks and delete the album if yo…Yes, the completist in me thinks that was $10 well spent, even though I had all of it already (except for Mothership) between the two remastered box sets, CDs of BBC Sessions and How the West Was Won, and TSRTS on vinyl.
That Rhapsody ha…(Quote)
Absolutely true. One of my favorite walking bass lines ever. JPJ is the unsung hero of that band.
I'd also grab The Ocean. And if you want to hear Zep live, How the West Was Won kicks the shit out of The Song Remains…I had most of the LPs, then a few of the CDs, bought the remastered CD boxes and the complete works on Rhapsody.
