I can only get two albums a month under the higher prices, but it's still slightly cheaper then the alternatives, at least in some cases... I mean, it's not like it's a lot of money…It looks like eMu got this new Feelies album on the actual release date, and it's pretty good. I'm not sure what these folks have been doing for the past 20 years, but this record sounds much the same as their earlier stuff.

Then again, she's asking $10 fo…Over on eMu these days they're pushing The Joy Formidable, a recent Atlantic Records signing who are sort of a heavy-shoegazer act with a Courtney Love/Shirley Manson-ish female singer (on most tracks). Mind you, they're good, and I like them... but…Well, there's one word that explains why you have to make hay while the sun shines, and that's "mold." It can actually kill livestock if they eat enough of it.For a while there, from about 2000 to 2005 or so, a whole bunch of bands were hiring Dave Fridmann as their producer based mostly on their having heard The Soft Bulletin. A few of the records that resulted are still huge favorites of mine - T…I kinda like The Big Takeover... that's also a print magazine, and you often see Jack Rabid's album reviews (he's the editor/publisher) on eMu and other sites. He's been at it since the early 80's…Guh indeed!
