Hi Rod, I've been listening to both versions of the death and resurrection of Christ that you sent me. Thanks again for that and indeed the rather splendid Penderecki at 80 collection. Reason for the mail is that I can't seem to find any details online regarding the version conducted by the man himself. Do you have any? Just my curiosity is all. Hope all is well. Best Dave H.

(Quote) I bought the expanded version of that a while back and gave it a spin last week; by coincidence I took a deep dive with this one yesterday.

A recent Bandcamp purchase. More of a group sound but if you like Anouar Brahem then you'll probably go for this.in What are you listening to right now (on the floor, 25 or 6 to 4)? Comment by djh June 15

Really glad that this album got reissued around the time of Julian Cope's Japrocksampler so us young folk could get to hear it. A fine record by a fine band.
Their first was also damn nifty and had a "classic" cover@peterfrederics a friend has just informed me that it's #1 in the UK album charts - for whatever that's worth these days.Taking a chill pill and having a relaxing morning in the sun here in the north lands - celebrating the fact it isn't windy for a change (the perils of island life etc).

If I don't post for a few days it's either because I think I've posted too much recently and/or because I have no streaming link for what I'm listening to as it's either a cd or a file from an external drive. This …I had been having a conversation on Facebook about the fate - hopeful renovation of the bizarre concrete dinosaurs in Crystal Palace park (SE London) yesterday - and then I stumbled on this. It may just be me but I find the near endless permutations…(Quote) Colin Stetson is certainly an experience in a small venue.
